Mamadou Diop and MAMADOU's yin-and-yang effect are on glorious display in the african world music and the world fusion music.
The person I am today is the result of amazing life experiences and enriching encounters.
My goal in this life is to learn and teach as much as possible about as many things as possible (or impossible); about energy and the soul; to be in tune with the body, mind, and spirit, as a spiritual vibration; about the real and the unreal; what it means to truely believe; and the connection of time (I believe they are all connected, on one big wheel out there), so that I can realize myself to the fullest.

I am from West Africa, Senegal. As a member of the Soninke Tribe, I spent my early years in the village with my family until I was six years old. Soninke Kingdom is one of the largest Kingdoms that extends from Senegal to the neighboring country of Mali to the East. From the village, I moved to the capital city of Dakar, where my family maintained African traditions while living in the modern city. Many times throughout the year, my family would travel back to our original village of Bakel, located at the border of Senegal and Mali, in order to renew the connection with the tribe, the spirit, and the nature of Africa.
As a God-given talent and natural artist and professional Musician, I have traveled throughout Africa, Europe, and the United States and Canada. I now reside in the North Shore, Massachusetts, and have formed a successful world music band that we call simply "MAMADOU". I would love for you to sign up for the band newsletter - then come see us.

Favorite Movies
I dont want to get into that mind game.I want to stay in my reality. The real movie is our life and we are the star. we have to try hard to bring this world to a better place,by being a helpful and hopeful hero. Why dont movies teach children what they need to know to survive in their own world?????? I only like movies, when I can learn something useful from them.

Favorite TV Shows
I am not really friendly with that little box. Why must chidren go to bed hungry ?... Because there is no sense of community. It is ridiculous for one family to have enough food to share, but instead through it away. Why don't people who live in large cities know their neighbors?........... Large cities are designed to create anonymity. People fall into the pattern and design of their cities and never reach out to their neighbors. There is no sense of community We live in a humanitarian emergency in the world today, because of the lack of attention. The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about !Show how we can begin to make significant repairs to reverse those impacts through immediate action. It's all about acting or watching.Make your choice!! The only educational tv's shows I know are: SCOOBY-DOO!!!!!!,TOY STORY ..1,..2 , FINDING NEMO , PETER PAN and Teletubby.

TAKE YOUR PEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!. WRITE and SHOW to all the government officials how to put an end to the longest running war in Africa, around the world and we are experiencing some of the worst environmental crises in human history. Yes, people think as if Africa was a place where people walk around naked; a place where lions and humans mingle. No!!! I do not live on top of a tree surrounded by snakes and monkies. Forget the Safaris, Africa is bigger than a bunch of wild animals. This is a lie, most book lie,the tv lies, the radios exagerate and the people absorb all these misinterprations of the african daily live. The learning from any book needs to be real helpful information. This is a lie, the tv lies, most book lie, the radios exagerate. The truth needs to be told in the history book,in the radio and television news. Learning from any media needs to be helpful information.

I believe that it is much better to Accept a variety of culture, rather than one single religion or philosophy.that is ALL races, religions, sexual preferences, philosophies, ages, level of education, etc.I believe olso ,we can influence the energy around us and shift that which is or was into completely new possibilities. I don't believe in barriers - we can learn from our differences and gain from the common ground. I like to get my inspiration from a wild inspiration and wide mish-mash of ideas/cultures/music/spiritual backgrounds/etc - keeping my mind open to new things &; always letting my ancestors guide, my past , present and futur.

| | | | Consequences are superb teachers. Their lessons touch you profoundly and stay with you for life. Many of the abstract concepts you come across are quickly forgotten. The consequences you experience, on the other hand, are nearly impossible to forget.
Through consequences you learn, in a personally meaningful way, what works and what doesn't. Through consequences you learn what's important and why.
Both the painful consequences and the joyful ones are quite memorable. Most importantly, not only do you remember the consequences, you also remember what specific thoughts and actions brought you to them.
You have the magnificent ability to make things happen, to create your own consequences. The more you learn from the experience of your consequences, the more reliably you're able to create the precise outcomes you desire.
Everything you do has a consequence, and every consequence has a lesson. Learn well, and create all the best you can envision. |
